City Lights: A special project for Hanukkah

In the spirit of Hanukkah, the light installation City Lights by Efrat Yaron suggests a contemplation of how a small light can serve as a bridge between people—a testament to collaboration and hope. A city is not just a cluster of buildings; it is an assembly of illuminated windows, each of which represents an entire world. The more buildings are added, the brighter the city shines.

In the center of the gallery are works created by visitors to the exhibition—dozens of small buildings, which accumulate into an entire city composed of a multitude of points of light. These appear in different places and in different forms, becoming a kind of map of human presence. Who lives there? Who’s awake? Who has turned on the light?
