Following the success of the series last year, Tel Aviv Museum of Art is once again presenting Cultural Fridays!
Focus on Extraordinary Women
A special pop-up event in honor of Women's Month as part of the successful "Cinema-Museum" series, celebrating inspiring women who have left their mark on the world of art, both in Israel and internationally.
As part of the Cinema-Museum series, the finest films about art and culture will be screened almost every week, each preceded by a short lecture from one of the Museum’s curators. This collaboration between the Museum, the EPOS International Festival of Art and Culture Films, the Third Ear, the Docaviv Festival, Jerusalem Film Festival, and others, allows film aficionados to enjoy captivating and thought-provoking films from around the world, as well as a visit to exhibitions of master artists from Israel and abroad.

This captivating film takes viewers on a journey through the life of one of the most iconic creators of 20th-century art: Frida Kahlo. Using letters she wrote, the film delves into the self-portraits Kahlo painted, presenting her works as reflections of her turbulent—at times tragic—life.
The film revisits major exhibitions of Kahlo's work from around the world and, through interviews with curators, explores the symbols she used and the wide array of themes that interested her in her art.
This intimate and personal film celebrates the life and legacy of one of the most prolific and significant artists of the modern era, delving into her passion for life, politics, cultural heritage, and love.
