Sculpture Garden
The Lola Beer Ebner Sculpture Garden In Memory of Dolfi Ebner, links the Museum's Main Building with the Herta and Paul Amir Building, and features milestones of Israeli as well as international modern and contemporary sculpture.
Sigalit Landau’s fountain echoes traditional European gardens, and Belu Simion Fainaru and Adam Berg’s double-seat stone sculptures offer an acquaintance with the display, enriching the visit to the Museum visit at the seam between nature and culture.
The works of Antony Caro, Lynn Chadwick, Joel Shapiro and Jacques Lipchitz are presented alongside works by Israeli artists, including Itzhak Danziger, Micha Ullman, Menashe Kadishman, Ofer Lellouche and Dov Feigin. The sculpting materials of the works are various and contrasting, creating a dialectic between opaque mass and gaps that open up like windows into the garden and from it. Enzo Cucchi's mosaic path, created specifically for the Garden, enhances this contrast in matter and spirit, by bridging between the Garden’s upper and lower levels.
