Rappaport Prize for a Young Promising & Established Israeli Artist
—
Solo exhibitions and annual monetary reward
—
In 2006, the Bruce and Ruth Rappaport Foundation founded a prize that is awarded annually to two Israeli artists – established and young, respectively. The aim of the award is to highlight current trends in artistic practice in Israel, and to make the general public aware of fresh creative forces. Exhibitions of the two winners’ works are held at the same time, approximately a year after the award ceremony.
The winner must commit to donating one work to the Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Collection of Israeli Art at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.
The monetary reward for an established artist is $35,000, and for a young artist (up to the age of forty) $15,000.
